Bryce and Austin with nice black drum and sheephead

Ridge's best sheephead impression

It was a beautiful morning, as we headed out to the near-shore reefs for another day of sheephead fishing. The ocean was a little bumpy on the ride out but soon laid down as the tide changed.  Accompanied by Brian, John, Austin, and Bryce, we  were ready for some action. We moved around a little during the day and finally wound up with 29 fish that weighed around 75lbs. We used fiddlers for bait to nab the crooks. Having two youngsters on board was great and i think they actually out-fished the adults. Bryce and Austin ended up catching the biggest fish of the day also that was around 6 lbs. Probably beginners luck !!!!    Capt. David Reddick III

Sheepshead Report 2/21/10

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

The weather for the weekend was beautiful, with noaa calling for 1 ft. or less. After sitting out Saturday for my youngest sons first birthday, we decided to run offshore and get some sheepshead early Sunday morning.  Armed with about 300 fiddlers,  we headed east. Beautiful seas and no wind was certainly a welcomed change from the relentless cold weather this year. This morning, I had the pleasure of fishing with some of my buddies, Mitch Pennington, Keith Gladden and Capt. JonBoy. We had a great time and ended up with about 100lbs of fish with the largest being about 9 lbs. Definitely ready for the weather to straighten out so we can get on some more. Gonna include a pic of the fish and Ridge with his 1st birthday hat on.
