Savannah GA Fishing Guides

The striper bite has slowed due to nasty weather conditions. The weather has been difficult with one sunny, cold, windy, day followed by a rainy, dreary, overcast one. These conditions will dissipate this weekend and hopefully i will get some good reports. The striper bite was mediocre the last few weeks with catches of 4 or 5 being good. These fish ranged from 2 lbs to 30 lbs, with the bigger fish being caught on big plugs……The sheepshead bit should be on offshore but nobody has been able to get out that I’ve heard. A few reports of fish being caught inshore but no big fish. Usually late feb. and march sheepies are on fire however with the coooold water temps we’ve had this year this may be somewhat later. We will have some warmer days ahead and if this steadies off for a couple days the trout will turn on again. Capt. David 2/11/10
